Piles is GO! ๐
Hi there!
When lock-down began, I started working on a small game called Piles, and today I've finally launched a prototype version of it for everyone to enjoy.
Piles is a simple card game I invented many years ago, and it's great if you like playing:
- Card Games (duh!)
- Strategy games
- Casual games
- Math games
- Brain training games
The rules of the game are pretty simple. Using a standard deck of cards, create piles of cards that equal 27, first to create 2 piles wins! You'll be playing up against a reasonably sophisticated AI opponent, who will be looking to sabotage your efforts.
I created Piles because I'm fascinated by accessibility and building games that everyone can play. I had intended to submit Piles to the AccessJam here on Itch. Ironically though, Piles isn't accessible at all and won't work great unless you're on a desktop! Never the less, I think I have a nice prototype to begin implementing some of the accessibility features that I first envisioned.
My next goal is to have the game scale correctly independent of the device you're playing it on. Then after that I hope to release it as a mobile app.
